Matthew 3:16-17 King James Version (KJV) 16 And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him: 17 And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

The Lord has established his throne in heaven, and his kingdom rules over all. Praise the Lord, you his angels, you mighty ones who do his bidding, who obey his word. Praise the Lord, all his heavenly hosts, you his servants who do his will. Praise the Lord, all his works everywhere in his dominion. Praise the Lord, my soul.
-Psalm 103: 19-22

Fire tests the purity of silver and gold, but a person is tested by being praised. (NLT) -Proverbs 27:21
One way to get to know the heart of a person is to see how they react to being praised. How do they handle flattery? Do they seek more of it by prompting you? The real question is: how do you handle praise when you are put to the test of fire? It can be tricky, but remember how important it is to give God the glory He deserves.
