Matthew 3:16-17 King James Version (KJV) 16 And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him: 17 And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

So the promise is received by faith. It is given as a free gift. And we are all certain to receive it, whether or not we live according to the law of Moses, if we have faith like Abraham's. For Abraham is the father of all who believe. (NLT) -Romans 4:16
God declares people righteous, blameless, and sinless, not because we do anything to deserve it, but because we choose to believe God is good. Anyone who chooses to believe in God's goodness as the perfect father and puts their faith in Him will be covered for their weaknesses. Abraham chose to believe and he was considered righteous. Days happen where we can never do the right thing, say the right words, act the right way, or we just don't feel good enough. Don't worry, your belief in God will cover you when you don't feel like enough.

Let the wise listen to these proverbs and become even wiser. Let those with understanding receive guidance (NLT) -Proverbs 1:5
Unsure what the next right thing is to do? The Bible says it’s wise to listen and ask for the counsel of others. If we want to gain wisdom and find the next right steps for our lives we have to be willing to learn from others. Don’t rush ahead when you face uncertainty, but rather, pause to seek out the advice of others before you move forward.
