Matthew 3:16-17 King James Version (KJV) 16 And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him: 17 And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

So the whole community of Israel gathered at Shiloh and prepared to go to war against them. First, however, they sent a delegation led by Phinehas son of Eleazar, the priest, to talk with the tribes of Reuben, Gad, and the half-tribe of Manasseh. (NLT) -Joshua 22:12-13
Before going to war, it's best to understand and clearly communicate the issue at hand. These Jewish tribes were about to go to war thinking their fellow tribes had created an altar to a false god. It turns out, they built an altar to God as a reminder of the relationship all tribes have with God. Fortunately, the tribes were able to talk everything through before going to war. Do you find yourself about to go to battle? Have you approached the situation trying to understand the actions of everyone involved?
