The LORD is like a father to his children, tender and compassionate to those who fear him. (NLT) -Psalm 103:13 Sometimes it can be difficult to think of the Lord in terms of a father. Our earthly, albeit human, father may not have loved us the way we feel loved or even abandoned us altogether. There can be a gap left between what was modeled by our earthly father and how our heavenly Father loves us. Yet we know God is tender and compassionate. We must find it in our hearts to forgive our father so that we may fully experience the love of our Father.
