Matthew 3:16-17 King James Version (KJV) 16 And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him: 17 And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

For the kind of sorrow God wants us to experience leads us away from sin and results in salvation. There's no regret for that kind of sorrow. But worldly sorrow, which lacks repentance, results in spiritual death. (NLT) -2 Corinthians 7:10
It's hard to believe, but sometimes God WANTS us to become sad and upset. He desires that we use those emotions constructively for spiritual growth to bring us closer to Him. The big question is at the end of the day do you feel sadness over your past behavior because of disobedience to God or for the consequences of your actions? Feeling worldly sorrow? Don't worry, seek God in all of your ways.
