Matthew 3:16-17 King James Version (KJV) 16 And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him: 17 And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

The person who made the idol never stops to reflect, “Why, it’s just a block of wood! I burned half of it for heat and used it to bake my bread and roast my meat. How can the rest of it be a god? Should I bow down to worship a piece of wood?” (NLT) -Isaiah 44:19
God explains to His people how silly it is for them to put their hope into a man made idol. He admonishes them for not reflecting on what they are doing. Why would a wood figure made by hand be able to offer salvation? Don’t let the busy nature of life to keep you from taking time to reflect on who God is. When we get consumed by making our lives go the right way by our own strength and efforts, we can miss out on seeing God move in our lives! Don’t be blind to God as the idol maker in Isaiah was.
